Service Description
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) purpose is to ensure that all students with disabilities have available to them a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) that emphasizes special education and related services designed to meet their unique needs and prepare them for further education, employment, and independent living. As your Special Educational Advocate, we will: - Attend (IEP) Eligibility Determination meetings for - Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectually Disabled, Traumatic Brain Injury, Emotional/Behavior Disorder, Other Health Impaired, Speech & Language Impaired, and Specific Learning Disabled Programs. - Assist with ensuring your child has access to fair, equitable, and high-quality education and services. - Attend IEP and 504 plan meetings to assist and ensure the effectiveness of efforts to educate your child are occurring at school. - Assist with requiring school districts to provide staff training's for individuals at the school providing support & services to your child. It is our goal to ensure the rights of children with disabilities and their parents are protected. In implementing this mission we support school programs that help educate children with disabilities through special education and related services, and provide for the vocational rehabilitation of youth and adults with disabilities.
